Createasphere is pleased to announce Tad Scripter, Engineer in Charge for the Academy Awards® broadcast, as its keynote speaker on Day Two of its Digital Asset Management Conference, February 28, 2013, in Beverly Hills.
Scripter has been an engineering manager in live entertainment television for over 30 years, working with producers and production facilities to originate both live and taped event and episodic television. He has served for more than 15 years as the Engineer In Charge for the live worldwide telecast of the Academy Awards® for the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences. A groundbreaking engineering project manager, he has worked closely with manufacturers and software writers to develop and implement novel approaches to production methods including the current industry challenge of finding efficient and cost-effective solutions to multi camera, file based acquisition.
Scripter will discuss the challenges of producing one of the biggest and most complex live events on television and outline the tools and methods he uses to make it run efficiently. He will describe how he and his team orchestrate the capture of live content for delivery to multiple platforms. He’ll also cover how the assets are archived for future use and preservation.
