The DAMMY Awards are the only awards of its kind in the industry specifically recognize excellence in the digital asset management space. On September 28, 2012 at the New Yorker Hotel, the third annual DAMMY Awards will take place. The DAMMY Awards have become the standard for excellence in the industry and are sought after by a wide variety of companies and individuals who work with asset management solutions. This year, Createasphere received 44 submissions that cover five of the different categories. This is the highest number of submissions ever received, which only proves that to receive one of these awards is a prestigous honor.
The DAMMY Award winners are chosen by a blue-ribbon panel of judges who review the entries and deliberate who is the best of the best in the respective category. The submissions process is a rare, non-marketing opportunity for entrants to articulate their solution and contribution to the space.
The five categories and the nominees include :
Best Storage, Archive, and/or Preservation Solution
Recognizing the most innovative solution for storage, archive, and/or preservation, which could include software, hardware, a specific project, or services. The winner’s solution will demonstrate the most user-friendly option(s), revolutionary design, and maximum return on investment. This must be presented in the form of a case study and include the components of the challenge/problem, solution, examples and results.

Submissions can include content providers, software, hardware, or consultants. This must be presented in the form of a case study and include the components of the challenge/problem, solution, examples and results.
