Bergen, Norway, February 6, 2008. Vizrt Ltd. (Frankfurt Prime Standard, Oslo Main List: VIZ) announces today that the Company has signed a deal, worth USD 1.1 million for the delivery of a media asset management (MAM) solution to a large North American sports network. The order follows on a previous USD 400,000 contract, signed in late 2007, lifting the total order volume to USD 1.5 million. The deal, to be implemented throughout 2008, will focus initially on capturing and digitised archiving of new sports footage. Extensive in scope, the deal includes a wide variety of Vizrt’s Ardendo products such as Ardome, DART, Ardcap and Ardenc. While at first the customers will mainly be utilising SD, the project does include certain elements in the HD format, to be part of the network’s planned upgrade.
Bjarne Berg, Vizrt’s CEO, stated, “This deal confirms our earlier expressed belief that we are witnessing an acceleration in importance and market demand for our MAM product line. We believe that the upcoming implementation of this technology with an important North American Sports network constitutes a clear sign of our ability to expand into this market.”
