Historically, choosing between Software-As-A-Service (SaaS) or installed software for Digital Asset Management (DAM) was a decision based on the size of your company or the size of your DAM goals. SaaS was typically for simple storage and delivery of images — a photo catalog on the web — where there were no significant metadata or automation challenges. The more involved creative and distribution process management — rich media publishing that could support multi-channel marketing initiatives — was left to installed systems.
This has changed. The surviving pure-play SaaS vendors have gotten more capable, but still lack a complete solution, whereas the traditional installed vendors now have compelling SaaS solutions for companies that have a DAM vision larger then finished image repositories.
Join North Plain as we walk through the solution choice process that we use to help our customers achieve maximum return-on-investment on their digital asset management initiatives.
