Createasphere, the leading community builder uniting business leaders, content creators, emerging technology providers and thought leaders working in entertainment and media, is pleased to announce that Adam Besserman, Director of West Coast Development for Yahoo!, is set to deliver the keynote on day two of the TransVergence Summit being held August 7-8, 2013, at the W Hollywood.
Mr. Besserman has played an instrumental role in facilitating the financing, licensing, development and distribution of over 50 premium original programs, including Tom Hanks’ ELECTRIC CITY, Anthony Zuiker’s CYBERGEDDON, Ben Stiller’s BURNING LOVE, Morgan Spurlock’s MANSOME, Jack Black’s GHOST GHIRLS, Ed Helms’ TINY COMMANDO and many more. “Adam’s skill at identifying buzzworthy, profitable projects makes him the ideal speaker to address this audience,” said Kate McCallum, the curator of the conference. “His knowledge and guidance will be of great benefit to the content creators in attendance.”
The TransVergence Summit is the first conference of its kind to bring together the talent, tools and technologies needed to create transmedia, OTT and cross platform content that immerses audiences and engages fans. Attendees will see the latest strategies and meet noted experts who work in transmedia and cross platform communication.
Other recently added speakers include Alex Ben Block, Senior Editor for the Hollywood Reporter; James Waugh, Lead Writer, Franchise Development, Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.; Chris Blocker, SVP, Sales and Partnerships, Ustream; and Jon Vidar, Digital Strategist and Founder, Uncharted Digital. Newly announced sessions include “Three Ts – Tools, Tech and Transmedia,” “From Games to Gamification” and “Engaging Audiences with Live Video Streaming.”
Will Wright, CEO of Syntertainment and creator of “The Sims,” will deliver the keynote address on Day One.
The first-ever Los Angeles Story Hackathon will be held in conjunction with the Summit. Produced in association with StoryCode (storycode.org), it will bring together participants from diverse backgrounds including film, technology, publishing, game design and theater to create a cohesive narrative across multiple platforms in 24 hours and present one for judging. This will provide Summit attendees with an up-close look at transmedia development in action.
Also debuting at the TransVergence Summit is the Start-Up Salon, an exclusive opportunity for technology inventors and innovators to get their work in front of both the Summit audience, investors and venture capitalists.
